Particle Separation in Microchannel
We are currently focusing on the separation of microparticles from the fluid by manipulating the shear forces, geometry of the microchannel, and surface properties inside the microchannel. The rationale behind this work is that there is no use of external force to isolate them. It is also known as passive technique, where the interaction of particles and the walls are modified to achieve high-throughput separation. This method also provides convenient, cost-effective and economical way to design microchannel for particle separation.Â
