Dr. Prashant R.Waghmare
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune, India and his Masters in Thermal and Fluids Engineering with gold medal from the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, India. He worked as Research Associate during his M.Tech. dissertation for Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai, India and also worked as project staff in Center for Research in Nanotechnology & Science, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. He is now at University of Alberta as a Assistant Professor after finishing his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. During his Ph.D. he was bestowed with Alberta Ingenuity Scholarship for Nanotechnology currently known as Alberta Innovates Technology Futures, R. R. Gilpin Scholarship, J. Gordon Kaplan Graduate Student Award and Dean’s special award from University of Alberta.
His research expertise are in microscale transport and wetting phenomena.
